Description

Dobutamine hydrochloride Injection is a synthetic catecholamine, supplied in a sterile form for intravenous use.

Dobutamine is a direct-acting inotropic agent whose primary activity results from stimulation of the b-receptors of the heart while producing comparatively mild chronotropic, hypertensive, arrhythmogenic, and vasodilative effects.

Indications
  • Shock conditions like
    • Myocardial Infarction
    • Trauma
    • Cardiogenic shock
    • Cardiac surgery
    • Septic shock.
  • Acute decompensation of chronic Congestive heart failure.
  • Pharmacological stress testing.
